First Time Course

Click on the link
below. It will open a new window with the CoursePort web site. You
must have connectivity to the web, so if you are dial-up you will have
to connect first.
You can switch between
these instructions and the new window by choosing the appropriate icon
from the task bar at the bottom of your screen.
You will have to click
on New User Registration the first time. You must have a valid
email. If you do not have email, stop now and go get an email account. I
provided instruction on how to get a Yahoo account within these current
student pages.
Fill out the
information and remember to save your user name and password somewhere
because you will need them each time you log in to take a practice test
for each chapter. These practice grades count toward your final grade.
After this you can use
the user name and password to log in for each chapter practice test.
Next you need to choose
your product. This is your textbook Discovering
Computers 2009.
Then you need to join a
class. Click on that link and put in our class code.

Once you take a test
and submit, the grade will show up in the gradebook where I can see it. You can go to that grade and send me an email. Think about it – If
you take it more than once, you can tell me the best one.
REMEMBER – THESE ARE
PRACTICE TESTS FOR EACH CHAPTER. THEY ARE
GRADED. YOU WILL STILL TAKE A PHASE TEST
